About the Media for Family Fund
Founded by Educational Adventures, LLC, with Steven C. Rockefeller, Jr., as president, the Media For Family Fund is a special project of the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, a 501 (c)(3) organization. The Media For Family Fund supports premium quality, family-friendly entertainment and educational programs for minority and economically disadvantaged communities. Through entertainment, we can educate and empower children, enriching and enhancing the lives of entire communities; one family at a time.

According to Safe Kids Worldwide, each year more than 20 million children are injured and 90,000 are permanently disabled by accidental injuries. Minority and economically disadvantaged children are 1.5 times more likely to suffer the negative effects of accidental injuries . These tragedies can be prevented with increased access to education and other resources. The Media for Family Fund reaches out to minority and economically disadvantaged children with fun and upbeat entertainment and educational activities. The fund's first goal is to empower children to make better safety related decisions and therefore reduce the frequency of preventable accidents.
